ONSITE TRAINING AND CONSULTING

   Hertii.com also provides onsite training for its WMD Train-the-Trainer Programs. Hertii.com will send a team of instructors to your hospital, HCF or business site to deliver these comprehensive training programs to your HERT members. We can also assist hospitals or HCFs through onsite consulting. We can provide guidance and assistance to your hospital's emergency department and staff on how to handling a MCI resulting from a HMI or WMD event.

   Training will concentrate on design and development of three teams within the hospital or HCF. They are: 1) The Incident Command Team (to provide incident oversight and management); 2) The Decontamination Team (to provide ambulatory and non-ambulatory decontamination for patients and the hospital's first responders, when required); and 3) The Emergency Response Team (to provide patient assessment, triage and emergency treatment, when required).  The decontamination and emergency response teams will operate outside of the emergency department within the Emergency Treatment Area (ETA), set up and manned by other HERT Members. 

   For the WMD Train-the-Trainer programs, the required class size range from is 24-30 participants. Hospitals and HCFs must assist the Hertii.com training cadre in maintaining a student to instructor ration of 1 to 5 during all exercises and drills in these training offering.  The WMD Operations and Emergency Response Technician level training will culminates with a 4-8 hour WMD/MCI response drill/exercise/simulation. Participants must also pass an end of course examination to be qualified IAW 29 CFR 1910.120(q), 49 CFR 172.704(d) (5) and JCAHO requirements.    All participants must certify that they meet the required Medical Surveillance Screening Requirements as outlined in 29 CFR 1910.120 and 29 CFR 1910.134 before they participate in any hands-on exercises or drills during the course conduct.

   Hertii.com's training staff is well qualified to delivery all of its onsite training programs. Each instructor has extensive education, training and field experience in Incident Command System, HazMat, WMD, and medical management of MCI resulting from HMI or WMD events. Doctors and Nurses are experienced professionals from many local and area medical facilities and are well qualified to deliver "emergency preparedness" training to hospitals and HCFs. All Hertii.com's training cadre are graduates of the FEMA Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents Train-the-Trainer, B461 Course offered at the Noble Training Center in Anniston, AL.


   Hertii.com is an experienced "emergency preparedness" training provider. All program offerings are compliant with ODP's training methodology (ADDIE). Hertii.com is also a leading training provider for FEMA's HERT for MCI TTT, B/L461 Courses.  Our instructional system design leader was responsible for the creation, design, development, pilot testing and successful implementation of FEMA's HERT for MCI TTT, B/L 461 Courses currently being offered at the Noble Training Center in Anniston, AL.
