Hertii.com announces its new program offerings to enable hospitals, HCFs, mental health agencies and all other medical "first responders" to obtain the training and assistance they need to comply with the HSPD-8, Emergency Preparedness, dated December 17, 2003. This directive outlines that hospitals and HCFs now have the financial assistance necessary to obtain the equipment and training they need to ensure "emergency preparedness" in responding to mass casualty incidents (MCI) resulting from a terrorist's use of a CBRNE agent or a Toxic Industrial Chemical (TIC) as weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

Funding for this training and equipment can be received through grants from the Office of Domestic Prepardness (ODP), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
